Hope for Homes Day is a statewide giving movement that brings together Illinois nonprofits working to prevent and end homelessness.
It is more than a fundraiser. It is a collective call to action to ensure people across the state have access to safe, stable housing. In 2025, 35 nonprofit organizations participated, raising more than $220,000 from over 900 donors to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. In 2026, the movement continues to grow. Our goal is to register 50 nonprofit organizations and raise even more funds to expand housing stability and supportive services across Illinois.
Recognized by Governor Pritzker, Mayor Johnson, and Cook County President Preckwinkle, Hope for Homes Day has become a powerful force for housing justice. On July 16, 2026, supporters across the state are invited to give to one or more participating organizations. Each contribution strengthens the work happening every day to build stability, dignity, and opportunity for those most impacted by homelessness.
Together, we can keep building a future where everyone has a place to call home.
